6" x 6" All Hallows' Eve Mini-Album PDF Tutorial

Who's ready for cooler weather, changing leaves and Halloween??

I've just finished my re-make of the 6"x6" "All Hallows' Eve" mini-album from last year and the tutorial is listed in my Etsy shop HERE.

I made a few slight changes in the new version, including a black suede closure using the new Tim Holtz buckles, rolled velvet roses and a few other embellishments that I had to substitute because I no longer had the originals that I used last year.

All of the page designs remained the same with lots of flaps, pockets, magnet closures, etc as the original album had. The tutorial is 48 pages long with 124 photos and goes step-by-step through the process of creating all 10 pages, front and back covers and photo mats/tags.

This is a fun little book to make and works up really fast! I've got a second one nearly finished and I'll be sharing that here on the blog and my YouTube channel soon. I should also have a video up within the next day of this new version of the album.

Hope you're all having a great week and getting in that spooky spirit:)

8"x8" Birdsong Mini-Album PDF Tutorial

Happy Friday, everyone!

I've finished the Graphic45 Birdsong mini-album tutorial and it's now listed in my Etsy shop HERE.

This VIDEO shows the new version of the album and talks a little bit about the tutorial.

This VIDEO shows the original album with all of the flap, features, etc that the tutorial includes.

This one's been nearly a month in the making as I had to create the album again. It's a pretty big file and 82 pages long, but that's only because there are 22 pages in this album and I wanted to make sure each page had detailed instructions and photos. There are 10 different page designs in this album with all of them repeating, but each page had slight differences and/or specific instructions for the embellishments so every page and photo mat/tag is covered in the tutorial.

I've had a few people ask how much of the Graphic45 paper is needed to complete the album as shown. I used a little more than half of the 12x12 paper pad and one and a half 8x8 paper pads. I know this collection is getting difficult to find, so I took special care to note exactly how much of each paper I used so I could offer a few different options for those who either can't find the paper or don't want to purchase so much of it.

My best and obvious suggestion is to cut down the size of this album to 14 pages, choosing your favorite pages. If you do this, you'll be able to create your own version using either the 12x12 pad or the 8x8 pad and a few individual sheets of paper. I used the "Cherry Blossom" paper the most in the album, so if I had to choose which individual sheets to purchase that would be high on my list. The nice thing about this particular collection is there are very few differences in the size of the print between the 12x12 and 8x8 papers. The "Birdsong" and "Tranquility" papers are the ones where size matters. If you can only find the 8x8 paper pad to purchase, that's the one I would recommend. You can always use some neutral patterned paper on the photo mats and features to make up for any shortage you may have with the G45 papers.

I've made a few slight changes from the original album to the ribbon closure, bookmark and one of the interior pages based on materials that I've since purchased and materials I no longer have.

I'm ready for some much needed cooler weather and have Fall on my mind, so I'm moving right into Halloween next!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

6x8 "Sweet Escape" Mini-Album

Good morning!

Here's a tropical spin on my 6x8 "Sweet Memories" PDF tutorial. I used the tutorial for all of the page designs in this one, but changed the album closure to a D-ring buckle type closure. I used the Fancy Pants "Summer Soul" collection and added to it with some papers from my stash, mostly Crate Paper and a few sheets of K&Co "Edamame".

I've got a thing for stamps and dies with a tropical theme, so I have quite a few that I've used to embellish this album including WaltzingMouse's "My Island" and "North Shore", GinaKDesigns "Aloha" and "Tropical Nature", and a few of the Fancy Pants single stamps from the "Wave Searcher" collection. I've used some older Quickutz 2x2 dies, some from the "Relax" gift set, the large wave die and a palm tree frame, and a few from the "Tiki"set. I've also used a few Memory Box dies (honu and banana leaf), Spellbinders (various label dies and large surfboards), and a few Taylored Expressions dies (tropical border scene and sunburst).

It was really fun making this into a little paradise album!

This album is listed on eBay HERE ending next Sunday night 8/18/13, if you're interested.

I'm starting the tutorial on the 8x8 Graphic45 Birdsong album that I made late last year. I have to remake this album, although this one I'm keeping for our pics of my husband's tour in Korea and the brief trip I made visiting him in 2006. They've been hanging out long enough on my computer and need a good home:)

It's going to take me several weeks to finish this one as it's 22 pages long, but I should have it ready by the end of this month or early September. Thanks to everyone who has requested this album for your interest and your patience. I hope you'll find it worth the wait:)

8"x8" Travel Log Mini-Album PDF Tutorial

I'm excited to share that I've finished remaking this 8x8 "Travel Log" mini-album from last summer and I have the tutorial on this mini in my Etsy shop HERE.

I've made a few minor enhancements to this album as new product became available since I made this last summer. The closure is new with a Tim Holtz buckle and leather banding, but still keeps the same look as the previous closure. I've added a few more embellishments to the front cover and some of the pages on the inside as well.

This tutorial is my largest one to date with 64 pages and 163 photos! It takes you step-by-step through the entire 14 page album, including front/back covers, spine, photo mats and tags. As with all of my mini-album tutorials, the binding system is sold as a separate tutorial in my Etsy shop and this one uses the 8" binding.

This album has a waterfall feature, double-slider feature, and several other page designs that are entirely new. This is one of my favorite albums that I've made so far, so this was truly a labor of love and will find a special place in my home.

I'll be making a short video of this album and hopefully get that on YouTube tomorrow to show all the little details and those few slight changes that I mentioned.

Hope everyone's enjoying a great summer weekend!
