I love dry embossing!

I've been busy today working on Christmas gifts for friends, getting my Christmas card ideas figured out and tackling the mounds of scrapbook magazines in my craft room. None of these things were completed today so I thought I'd post this layout instead. I love the BasicGrey Gypsy/Romani papers for these pics and I had fun with my Quickutz Blossom Grand for the title. I've been really drawn to dry embossing lately and stocked up on all Stampin Up!'s classy brass templates over the past few months. I used one of the templates on the bottom half of these pages and it added that little extra something. (I realize you can't see it in this pic but just believe me, ok?)Fun stuff!

Very cool acrylic baby card idea

This was an awesome idea I found on the SplitCoastStampers technique forum. I had to try this one right away and what perfect timing when hubby's co-worker was having a baby. I stamped the feet with SU!'s bashful blue and then heat embossed with UTEE. I had to run out and buy white Staz-On to use with transparencies but man does it work! Can't really see it in this picture but when the card is closed, the inside sentiment perfectly lines up and mats the baby feet on the outside. Super fun card to make but VERY time consuming!!

Jumpin' on the blog machine!

Well, I took the plunge. Had to see what all this bloggin' mess is about. I'm hoping this will motivate me to create regularly and share my love of scrapbooking/stamping and all things crafty.

Here's a pic of my blog title's inspiration. My little "monkey"
